Cafe Rio

 Hello Hello!!!!
So this weekend was great! On Friday, Ry and I went to Cafe RIO!!!!!! Ryan loves Cafe Rio! When he lived in Utah, he was addicted...and now, I'm addicted! lol So that was fun :) The nearest location is about 35 miles from us...which kinda stinks. After Cafe Rio we went to get ice cream, visited Barnes and Nobles and went home. The next morning was the first session of General Conference!!!! I was SO ready for it! I had my lap desk out, 3 notebooks, 3 pens and a blanket! Conference was amazing!!!!!!! I loved it :) In between the morning and afternoon session, Ry and I decided to embark on another journey to Cafe Rio...yes, we know. Crazy. lol it was well worth it! If I could, I would go back today too. lol so here are a few pictures:

Don't let me Fall

i LOVE Lenka!! Not too many people know of her...but i love her music!! Don't let me Fall is one of my favorites!

        Speaking of Fall...Tomorrow is the first day of Fall! I am SO excited! I love this time of the year!!! I looove gloomy days, rainy days, windy days, and cozy days :) Ryan, on the other hand...hates them! I'm sure he'll enjoy them a bit more once he's married, cuddling with his wife, drinking hot chocolate, and watching episodes of The Office. *stares into the distance* ok Ok OKAY, I'm back. So like I was saying, I loove the fall! The office where I spend 6 hours a day is surrounded by trees, and I love that! I love watching the leaves change color, fall off, get carried away with the wind, and eventually be replaced by bright green leaves. Ahhh, I'll take pictures sometime soon. So anyways, I have the bad habit of following blogs of people that I don't even know! I know that's strange...and they are probably freaking out! lol but I don't do it to stalk them and find out where they live, I just LOVE reading about newlywed couples! I think I just want to know what it would be like...you know? and yes, I know that it'll be the total opposite of what I expect...but still. lol

Moving on.

       Today, I was thinking about how most of my friends don't work as much as I do...and they get financial aid, and they go to school full time, and they're much closer to graduating than I am, and that their parents handle most of their expenses...and I was so upset! I know, it's horrible. I was experiencing this little thing called jealousy. ever heard of it? yeah, it stinks. I wasn't jealous of my friends, or anyone in particular... I was just jealous of the situation. does that make sense? My whole life I've had to work for what I have...well, most of it. So for example, right now I'm working about 30 hours a week and going to school part time....this semester isn't bad, but I've had past semesters that were horrible! anyways, I hate that I can't hang out with my friends during the day because I'm working, I hate that I cant hang out with them at night because I'm at school. and on the weekends...honestly, all I want to do is enjoy my sweet man and my family.

     Speaking of my sweet man...he works SO hard! ahh, I admire him so much! He gets up at 5:00...drives an hour to work, gets off 8.5 hours later...drives home, showers, and drives to school. Somewhere in between school and sleep, he manages to make me the happiest girl alive. He's so amazing. I wake up every morning wondering how I happened to meet the most wonderful man on earth. I've always loved superman, but I've realized that Superman has NOTHING on my Sweet MAN. :) I know..cheesy. but so TRUE! you know what...after typing that....I don't feel bad for myself anymore. lol oops. So yes, that's my little tribute to the man that does it all. My love, my baby, my hard worker, my talented, sweet, handsome, caring, patient, perfect, obedient, amazing MAN. *Note: as I was typing this.... I get this little message from him:
" I love you, I love you, I love you, te amo, te amo te amooooo. Te voy a dar todo mis besitos. Buenas noches mi amor!"

Yeah, Like I said, he's perfect.

It's plain and simple

We're in September?! WHAT?!

I still can't believe we're in September! where did August go? lol

So, just to update you guys, my mom LOVED her gift! She had a great birthday! We ended up going to Mayumba's Cuban Cuisine, it's this place in Rosemead that is SO delicious! They have a live band playing salsa, merengue,bachata, etc. they are really good! People actually get up and dance! [Ry and I danced a few songs] hehe :) And the food, oh my goodness! I ordered their house steak, which is the Mayumba Steak. It was SO amazing! It was probably the most tender and most flavor-full steak I've ever had! It's served with fried bananas, rice, and beans. I highly recommend it! But, if you're planning on going on a weekend, you HAVE to make reservations, and if you go after 7:30, there is a $20 cover charge per person. I thought it was worth it!

Now, onto the gifts! My mom got a lot of great gifts this year! She got an HP Mini Laptop, A Kodak Digital Camera, A new LG Cell phone, Benefit Make up, Bare Minerals Make up, Victoria's Secret Lotion and make up, and some cash $$$! lol :) she had a really good birthday! She was very happy to have her little family there!

Amy's wedding was SO fun! They had the IN N OUT truck there! And the decorations were so cute! There was a live band that was great! :) Overall, great time! On our way home, Ry got a flat tire :/ He repaired it and used the spare, but then the spare went crazy and had no air! Sooo after a long time, my sister's bf came and he fixed it! :) yay! We had planned on going to a dance...but that didn't happen. It's ok though! So, that's what that weekend was all about!

No More FB..

This is going to sound incredible, but I've deactivated my facebook! Yes! Isn't that crazy? So let me explain why...I was at work on Friday and one of the first things I do is check my facebook. So I started to think "wow...that's sad" lol and then when I logged on I decided to go to my page and it was amazing how much activity I had on my page. It was an endless list of "Stephanie commented on..." bla bla bla. And I scrolled down and noticed that friends never write back! So I started evaluating... And i decided that I don't NEED a facebook to keep in touch with friends, on the contrary I should be a little more active when it comes to interacting with friends. So I deleted it. And now...I wake up and actually GET UP! lol For example, this morning I woke up, cleaned my room and took my little cousins to buy a backpack at the mall. That was so fun! :) If I were to have my facebook, I would have woken up, logged on, browsed around, uploaded some pics..etc. But not anymore! And my mind is so...at ease. I love it! So I've decided that with all this spare time I'm going to read my scriptures, exercise, and socialize. So far, I love it. And of course I miss being nosy, but it's nice to break a habit! :) Another thing that encouraged me to get rid of it is that I would see so many posts of friends that would post personal thoughts and it drove me crazy! so, now I don't go crazy! lol Because I'm not exposed to those things. Ryan couldn't believe that I actually did it, but I did! He said "you should get it again...I'll post things on your wall" lol. Anyways, that's that! I got a new cell phone! My contract with AT&T finally ended!!! and Ry offered to add me to his family plan. I know, big step. lol Soo I have a new number! it's so crazy! I've had my old number for 5.5 years!! but it feels good to have a new number :) Change is good.
Yesterday, Ry took me to Cafe Rio! We had to drive all the way to Manhattan Beach! and on our way home, we stopped by Plaza Mexico. It's an outdoor shopping center with cute crafts from Mexico.

I bought this super cute handmade purse! I had a lot of fun! Ry is a really sweet man :) I'm so lucky to have him as my boyfriend! Well, I'm gunna get going, we're going to Krystian's homecoming dinner at 4 pm!

Dodger Game 2010

Remember how I mentioned that I was going to a Dodger game? Well, here are some pics!! :)

When we first arrived, this is what we saw....lol not a good sign! but, everything was fine with the Stadium!

The Dodger game was so much fun!!! I always have an amazing time when I'm with the people I love! They're a random bunch, but a lovely one :) At one point during the game, Anneliese got a call from a friend asking what the score was and she looked around the stadium for like 2 minutes and couldn't find it lol! So as you can see, we don't really pay attention to the game...we just go to enjoy each other's company! I love them! :)

A couple weeks ago, my wonderful man cooked dinner for me and it was Delicious!

And Yesterday, my Sweet Man stopped by my work with my FAVORITE flowers!

He also took me to lunch :)

3 years ago yesterday, my dad passed away unexpectedly...and it's always a hard day for me, but Ryan was so sweet and supportive! He made my day much better! I really really miss my dad... I feel like he's missing out on so much! I wish he would have met Ryan...and spoiled Noah! But things don't always work out the way you want them to...I miss him so much. I'm so grateful to have so many people in my life that love me and support me during those tough times. I'm very blessed!
